Lugmety is a food delivery service seeking to revolutionize the industry through technology in the Kingdom. Striving for a seamless customer experience, Lugmety delivers convenience and efficiency by providing an easy-to-use platform for locals to order food online from a variety of restaurants.

Project Brief

The project’s primary aim was to enhance the performance of the Lugmety web application and complete numerous pending tasks, with IndiaNIC offering support in Laravel, React, and server-side skills. The project addressed diverse areas, from fixing user and real-time tracking to developing a backend order priority dashboard, restaurant stats sheets, general stats upgrades, user notification systems, and more.

Faced Challenges

Before project implementation, Lugmety faced a lack of advanced tracking and notification systems that were affecting overall service efficiency.

Besides the mentioned, other challenges included a non-intuitive order sorting system for different departments and the absence of an integrated wallet system for users. The application also needed a refined stats system for both the company and the restaurants, along with an improved search mechanism to show the distance from users without a significant increase in Google bills.

Project Approach

After a comprehensive discovery phase, the team identified the main issues and defined the scope of work. The planning stage included creating a timeline, assigning tasks, and setting benchmarks. In the development phase, the team addressed each task systematically, starting with the most critical ones: improving user tracking and the notification system. The other improvements followed, with a focus on ensuring each new feature was tested and fully functional. Once all tasks were completed, the upgraded application was launched, and the impact of the changes was carefully monitored.
