Legitimate Websites Fancy Illicit Malware –Google Reports

In a recent survey and surveillance, it is found that people are more likely to encounter malware through reputable websites than seedy, illegitimate websites. It is by default accepted that even if you spend a small amount of time on the Internet, you are rightfully liable to get attacked by malware anywhere, anytime. Malware is everywhere, hiding in your computer, following your digital steps, tracking your data and generally being the pain in everyone’s digital rear end.

Fortunately, there are lots of advice on how to avoid the attacks and threats from such viruses. And, the most common and popular advice is to be prudence with the pages you visit on websites. People need to avoid vague and phishing websites that ask for personal information. They can bypass 95% of the harmful stuff by being cautious about website asking for more information.

According to Google transparency report, analysts discover thousands of unsafe websites, many of which are legitimate websites that have been compromised. Web giant has updated its transparency report with breakdowns on common contamination sources, enlightening the fact that many legitimate website pages innocently take advantage of visitors. Also, it is not a great idea to visit illicit websites and download all kind of stuff; this can turn out badly.  Google is saying that a vast majority of malware has come from reputed and perfectly legal services, which most of the online users assume are safe.

Search engine giant has blocked approximately 10,000 of these websites per day to streamline the malware tide. Unfortunately, it was found that more than 90,000 websites were infected, which clearly states that the company will have to do long-term struggle. Google said, legitimate websites are more vulnerable and hackers took advantage of this vulnerability.

But, as they say, this is not at all bad news. Webmasters are being aware of online security, and the time required for detecting and repairing the bug has dramatically decreased. Google’s Safe Browsing informs users as well as webmasters, when website is comprised and discouraging the traffic until the fixing operation is completed. Still, it is not impossible to surpass the effects of malware completely. All a webmaster can do is step in the right direction and minimize its effect.
