Google and Apple are like oil in the water; they never mix, at least not willingly! Once best friends, Apple and Google have become foes, battling in the court rooms and consumer courts. The smartphone industry has become a battlefield for iOS of Apple and Android of Google. These two smart kids are very famous for their rivalry; but who controls it is a big question. It’s like two smart kids kicking the sand in the sand box.
Apple has been a solid brand in the industry ever since they started. According to recent research, Apple with the success of iPhone 5 is now competent to overtake Google’s Android software in United States. Apple’s US market share in 2012 increased to 49.3 percent, which is almost doubled as compared to last year’s share. And, on the other hand, Google’s US market graph is on the way out. It has turn down form 63.3 percent to 46.7 percent now.
Apple always played on ball very quickie and tricky. With iPhones, Apple made it thorny to change the layouts of the things and customize it. With their standard software, Apple Inc has put some limitation on what you can do and what you can’t do. Its iTunes is yet another great and intelligent example. Therefore, Apple is maintaining the uniqueness of its trademark and that’s why they are different. Therefore, they say ‘if you don’t have an iPhone then you don’t have an iPhone!’
Although Google’s market is on the verge to get dominated in US, it continues to have its influence in European countries like –in Germany the Google market share is 74 percent and for Spain it’s 82 percent. Reason being, it is a household brand for everybody whose is connected to internet. Unlike Apple, Android allows you to do multitasking without any limitations.
Three Google apps were rejected by Apple for its iPhone and iPad. Ironically, most of the iPhone & iPad users search the internet with Google from their Apple devices. Apple seems to go for the apps that are not compatible or accessible by Google’s Android software and probably the future of Android and Google lies there!
